Measurement and decision sequence
- Compare MAF/MAP/boost, lambda/O2 and fuel trims at the same load point.
- Prove vacuum/boost leakage with smoke/pressure testing, not visual inspection alone.
- Cross-check exhaust backpressure and temperature sensors against physical conditions.
- Assess DPF soot-vs-ash, differential pressure, EGT, SCR/DEF and NOx sensors as one chain.
Misdiagnosis traps
